Designer Alexander Wang has called on his slew of superstar friends and clients for his latest initiative.
In celebration of his 10th anniversary, Wang has created a charity t-shirt and hoodie in partnership with one of the largest organizations supporting youth and social change, DoSomething.org. Shot by renowned photographer Steven Klein, the black and white campaign ad boasts of a series of 38 portraits of people whom Wang admires and who “influence youth with a strong, relevant voice.” Jhené Aiko, The Weeknd, Kanye West, Pusha T, A$AP Rocky and more lent their likeliness in support of activism.
“We felt like, let’s do a campaign and bring together people that we really respect or who have been a big part of our brand, who helped support us, who’ve given us support, been supporting us all these years,” Wang told Yahoo Style.
The Alexander Wang x DoSomething t-shirts ($50) and hoodies ($75) will be available exclusively in Alexander Wang stores worldwide and on AlexanderWang.com starting today (Sept. 1). 50% of the retail price of these items will go to DoSomething.org with the objective to raise both funding and awareness on global scale.
